hello all,
Let me open one more discussion related LTE modems. With this topic I would like verify if Huawei E3276 finally work with PI3 or not. I spent many hours to setup my drone configuration. Everythig works fine right now: I can stream video and telemetry to ground control station ( whenever this is PC, Android or IOS ). Now I know that the only one issuse that I got is related to modem on drone side. My current solution base on E5220 (3g) modem and this is extremly stabile connection. Casting works perfect as well as telemetry but this is 3g only link conected with PI3 via WI-FI hotspot feature.
I own also 2 different LTE modems Platinet 4G LTE Modem & Huawei E3276 ( model s-150 - all frequences version ). I can initiate ppp connection using WVDial for Platinet modem but it`s not stable and connections drops from time to time. In the case of Huawei I cannot initiate ppp connection. I was trying to run it using Saikis3g but seems this script is very old and does not work well well with Jessie.
My general question: is there someone that is able to start ppp dialup connection using E3276 and raspberry PI3? I read many discussions that forum members are using this modem but finally there is no confirmation that both those 2 hardware works together.
- Can you confirm if you are using Huawei E3276 with Jessie
- Can you let me know if you are using extra power for this modem or maybe you are powering it from additional than lipo source.
Thanks in advance for any comments becuse finally I need decide to continue with this model or sell it and buy another one. If you know any detailed guide how to setup this modem on PI3 ( includes modem swich procedurÄ™/commands ) kindly please share it with me if possible under this topic
