RFD900 backup

Hi all,
Just got an UAVcast licence, and I am starting to tinker. I am currently using a pair of RFD900 radios. Is there a way to keep them on as backup, if 3G is gone?

I use 3DR radios on mine.
I just let them installed the way it used to be.

Just connect on mission planner like you would if you were not using UAVcast.
