UAVCast-Pro with Pi Zero W - Mission Planner Data stream

Hi,
Yesterday I used UAVcast Pro for the first time with a RPI 3B and it worked perfect!
Today I reinstalled UAVcast on a RPI Zero W to get it a bit smaller. I connected everything and the connections are all fine (green dots). I also can connect to Mission Planner and it shows me the position of my Plane etc.
The problem is when MP tries to get the params of the Pixhawk, it is stuck at "Getting Params..." so I cannot access any params nor Waypoints.
For trial, I plugged the Zero with micro USB to a 2A wall adapter but that didn't heöp either.
Has somebody experienced similar problems?

How have you connected the Pixhawk to your pi0w? If you use gpio then remember to have good ground connection between pi and pix.

its very important to have proper grounding between.

I did not connect the 5V cable coming from the Pixhawk. Could that be the problem?

KadaverJoe the 5v is not allways necessary. You can power pixhawk and pi seperatly as long as you use common ground, but pixhawk needs to be powered somehow of course.

I resoldered all thre wires plus the 5v wire but I have still the same problem. Is there a different way to get serial connection between Pixhawk and Pi Zero + Huawei USB stick?

KadaverJoe check what baudrate and mavlink protocol pixhawk is configured with, these settings can be found in mission planner => settings => full parameter list. Search for “serial”. Serial 0 (usually USB) and serial 1 (usually telemetry port)

You can also try with usb cable instead of gpio connection.

Sinamics I will double check it. But if I use USB connection, how can I connect the Huawei stick (except for using a USB hub)?

the second thing I find strange is that looking on the dashboard, there were only 550kB sent over tun0 within 15 mins. I only run Telem on my link because I do not have video to stream.
From my feelings, it was more when I had UAVCast running on the RPI 3.

KadaverJoe you would need a usb hub if you want both devices.
You can test with a USB cable just as a test.

I think I found a solution. I had it connected to SERIAL2 before and changed it to SERIAL1 and checked all settings again. Now it seems to work. Not sure what the problem exactly was.

What do you think is the data usage when you only use Telemetry/Telem+Vid?

If you stream HD video and telemetry you will end up using approx 250kb/s every sec. That equals 180MB/s for 15min flight. These numbers are just estimated based on my experience and will change based on gstreamer settings such as bitrate, resolution, framerate.
