In your UAVcast open DroneConfig.cfg and make sure gcs_IP_address marches your laptop internet ip address and you can connect to mission planner

connect to mission planner not via usb but ip remotely and you are good to go

So I have the gcs_IP_address file to the laptop. 192.168.137.57. But this shouldn't work as we have TTL to look at 192.168.1.100.

not laptop eth0 but laptop wlan0 since we are using ip to connect remotely

use your laptop wlan0 ip not the eth0 ip

ipconfig for your wlan0 ip on your laptop ... that will be your GCS_IP_address

laptop eth0 is not supposed to be 192.168.137.57 cos you don't assigne eth0 to your laptop. that eth0 ip is suppose to be for your rpi. If that is your laptop eth0, you can change the last figure of the eth0 ip for your rpi. please don't forget to add /24 when assigning ip to your rpi

example:

nano /etc/dhcpcd.conf

add this to the top

interface eth0

static ip_address =192.168.137.57/24

and save then reboot.

please login to rpi via ip remotely and not with any cable. start ./DroneStart . if started properly then ps ax to see if listed. before connecting to mission planner

if your laptop wlan0 ip is not static it will change anytime you restart your router. always ipconfig on your laptop to see your laptop wlan0 ip to be sure cos if it changes you will need to open DroneConfig.cfg on your rpi to change the gcs ip address as well to match you laptop wlan0 ip

In the RPi configs, it is set as 192.168.137.57/24.
The TTL is set for 192.168.137.200, which points to the eth0 of the RPi which is 192.168.137.57. That is why it is listed as the gateway. See post from yesterday.
Your posted yesterday stated to make the TTL Gateway and Remote IP as the wlan0 IP, not the eth0.
The RPi eth0 is set for 192.168.137.57, see ifconfig...I posted that snap shot in yesterdays post.

This is it:

ttl module ip = 192.168.137.57/24
ttl gateway ip = rpi wlan0 ip
ttl remote ip = rpi wlan0 ip

gcs ip address = laptop wlan0
rpi wlan0 is usally assign by your router but it is recommended to make it static. ( ifconfig to see wlan0 ip)
Laptop wlan0 is also assigned by your router ( ipconfig to see wlan0 ip )

Skylab...well good news, I now have connection now and I am able to bring up both APM and mission planner. Glad to see the connection.

I had to make a slight change however, you stated above to make both the TTL gateway IP and TTL remote IP of the TTL module to = RPi wlan0 ip. This did not work, so I changed it to:

ttl gateway ip = rpi eth0 ip
ttl remote ip = rpi eth0 ip

The eth0 ip is 192.168.137.57

All along, this is how I have been connecting the device except here I selected "sharing" on my home wifi connection. Since Bernt did not do this in his setup on the video, I cannot say for sure why it did not work. I will examine this on Friday some more. Thanks again.

When the drone is all connected, would the start buttom on the F710 game pad start the motors?

scroll down between fi? and exit0
add

sleep 20
sudo /home/pi/UAVcast/./DroneStart. sh
