HPI crawler running cell & Navio+. Just for fun project.

So today me and my son(5 Year Old) dug out an Old HPI crawler from the Storeroom.
We assembled everything and charged the batteries, but there was one thing missing, quite important peace "Remote Controller". After searching for approx 30min, we gave up.

So we decided to create a Cellular Crawler, i was explaining that we could drive this car by a regular "XBOX" gamepad, that was just like setting fire on a fuel can. hehe.

So here we go.

USB or PiCam (not desided yet)

I want to stream picture to my 55" TV , sitting in my sofa and run a Cell Rover down the street. Fun for me and at least my son. This is how far we came today, Car stripped down, and ready to be assembled. Maybe we will get some time tomorrow and finish this beast..

What cell modem are you using? Not too much current draw for the raspberry pi?

This Crawler were originally using 7.4v NiMH. I will be using a 4cell 5000 mAh Lipo, and just connect a step down to 7.4v.
I believe i will get 30min +
My modem is a Huawei e3276 .

My crawler is ready for action. Hehe. Total build hours 3. Don’t mind about the wires, and all the messy setup. As said, just for fun project. Tomorrow i will test it in day light.
