Stream and record video at the same time

Hello.
Has anyone tried this? I found a couple of things on the internet on this topic.

Please post your gstreamer script if you are already doing this. I'm going to try some things, but I'm no expert. lol

I have never tried to record at same time, but that would be a great feature.

I'm extending my laptop display with an HDMI cable. I use Mission Planner on my laptop, and slide my gstreamer video over to a TV. This HDMI Cloner Box goes in between my laptop and TV (HDMI pass through, no lag). I have a usb external HDD going to the HDMI Cloner Box, and it saves my video to the HDD. Works perfectly!!! This was $100 on Amazon.com.

Still searching the Internet for how to add audio and still possibly streaming and recording at the same time directly to laptop would be slick. I bet these guys could help:
