Pixhawk no heartbeat

I am trying a pixhawk connected directly to Raspberry Pi with a usb cable. UAVcast is running on a RPI 4 and sending video just fine. My pixhawk works fine when connected to mission planner via usb cable but UAVcast can't see it. It is probably important to note that the only thing connected to my pixhawk is the usb cable, no other power or cables.

Update..got udp to connect with just usb cable! UAVcast is blinking yellow for the telemetry connection (doesnt go solid green) and i had to manually hit the green connect button under the mavlink inspector. UAVcast still doesnt show a heartbeat, but mission planner is showing communication.

Update..Its all working! set up my raspberry pi to start everything on power up and it QUICKLY CONNECTS! Goes right into Mission Planner without me doing anything. So excited!
