You cannot transcode gstreamer to Mission Planner HUD directly. You could however use the HUD plugin created by Pattrick Duffy

Im using the GPS / Compass delivered by 3DR. Power module also gives you Voltage and Amps usage feedback to your GCS, so i would definitely recommend to use this module, and it would also give you kind of Redundancy if you got any issues with the Power Supply.

Some time ago there was disscussion related HUD application ( Sinamics ). Can you let me know what should i put in pipeline field to make it running ? I did put the same line as gstreamer on PC but it does not work.
Sorry ... one more ... I cannot run plugin , i do not know how to run is well. I did instal snadalone version and also have android client app.

As described in Sinamics you cannot use gstreamer directly with Mission Planner. You need to follow the instructions from Patrick Duffy

You can use VLC player to transcode into Mission Planner, but you get approx 1sec or more lateancy with VLC.
I will recommend to use the software developed by Patrick and run that as described at his post

Hi all
My quad is ready to use except one very importabt part : esc calibration.
Actually use afro with simonk firmware 30A.

I understood the calibration process but I can't calibrate my esc by this way knowing that I use a PS3 Remote controle. So I can use this remote only throught mission planner and so through Pixhawe. But when you start Pixhawk in calibration mod, it is not able to be connected to mission planner so I Cant use my remote and Change the throlle from high to down as required.

Do you have an idea how I can calibrate Esc with Ps3 remote controle ?

Hey.
Just want to know if i use the APM 2.6 flight controller would i still have to follow the same exact steps when compared to the pixhawk? I just want to setup a drone to be able to controlled via 3G. So this article was spot on. Just need your help in finding out if i can do these same steps with the APM FC.

@Sinamics Then we need to add this to startup script, so we dont need to start inadyn manually.
Type this syntax, just before the exit 0.

vi /etc/rc.local

add this line

/usr/sbin/inadyn &

please sir can you help me out with the above...
vi /etc/rc.local is a readonly file so where to add (/usr/sbin/inadyn & ) line.
please am new on this stuff

Hi Bernt,
I understand that in order for one to assign a static IP to the RPI on the latest Raspbian release, rather than modifying the etc/network/interface file, now we are instead pointed to modifying the DCHP file.

Can you please help me with suggested values for the below three addresses I will input into the DHCP file? I don't know what static routers, or what static domain_name_servers means, or why I need these. Perhaps I don't need them?

#Custom static IP address for eth0.

interface eth0
static ip_address=  192.168.0.200/24
static routers=  192.168.0.1
static domain_name_servers=  192.168.0.1

Static Routers is your gateway, use your router IP.
Static domain name server is your DNS address. Use your router IP.

You will need them if you want your RPI to be connected to internet.

Does the script above redirect to my TTL converter, and the script below redirects to my groundstation?
Also, I don't find udp-redirect in root, but I find it in home/pi (should the last line below be modified?)

HI Rob.
The above and below script are the same thing. "Our ip " is our ip (0.0.0.0 means local ip, the raspberry pi) and "our port" is port 14550 (local raspberry pi port 14550)..."send to ip" is your gcs dynamic dns (aka $ip) and "send to port" is gcs port that has to be opened on your laptop (14550)

When I had my raspberry pi connected with hdmi, I think I right clicked my udp file and went to properties for file path. This is the path I used, not root.

sudo ls /dev/video0

but it returns
ls: cannot access /dev/video0: No such file or directory

please is there any way i can add it there and how? thanks

i try adding it with "touch video0" and it requested for the node format

I'm pretty sure it will not work for rpi3. I tried taking a rpi2 sd card and put it in an rpi3 and it wouldnt even load up.

Hi, first thing, sorry my english. Bernt Christian Egeland , thanks for your amazing work.
I am new at rc drones and wanted to buy Dragon Link with telemetry, but when the idea of 3g came to me, I started to search gsm modules for an arduino or raspberry to make my project. After this, I thinked again, maybe anybody has the same idea.... and yesss.
I discover this forum in another forum, diydrones, and saves me to fight with sim900 and at commands. The uart to ethernet is really better solution, thanks for your project. After this, the software is the other side, it also done 🙂

Only thing left is to buy hardware. Thanks again, very happy. But i want to know if the Debian wheezy only works with raspberry 2. I want to try orange py plus, but I don`t be sure if works.

I did buy RPI3 some time ago and currently I`m trying to follow this instruction to run and setup gstreamer option first. My linux knowledge is very low but after after one weeks of test I cannot even setup gstreamer on Jessie based platform. As I understand there is no Whezzy edition for PI3 and I have an question if someone can help with pi3.

Just install UAVcast, and then set the option in DroneConfig.cfg

#Use WebCamera?. Options; Yes, No

Run UAVcast by typing

Thank you will try to install it. BTW, there is something wrong with " UAVcast. Casting software for Raspberry PI. Supports 3G / 4G / WiFi." topic under RPI forum. I did access this post using google search and can read it but it does not work when I trying to open it using forum structure.
