Easycap and the Gopro

First off great work you guys have been doing, been looking for a good 4g viable solution for SAR applications, wanted to try a test setup on my HEX/Pixhawk, with a gopro for HD video streaming and possibly Telem. Reviewed your Videos but cant seem to find the Article pages that have the links for the correct Rasbian install for easycap. If you could when you have time share them I would greatly appreciate it. Once again I feel very lucky finding your site and hope to move forward with some of your applications.

I had to look up a old post to find the easycap instructions. (Thx for pointing this out)
The latest rasbian may also work, i haven't tested this setup for a long time.

First of all, much information in this articel is retrived from this site
You need to have specific version of Raspbian in order to install and use video grabbers. For Easycap stk1160 the one from September’13 "raspbian-2013-09-16/". Download it and dump to sd card.
Easycap usb grabber comes with (at least) 4 different chipsets – You can check there how to distinguish one version from another based on lsusb output.
Im using STK1160 which is working out of the box.

If you get /dev/video0 you should be good to go. If not, verify correct chipset e.g
To be able to connect Gopro camera you need something like this , which im using.

You will need to use something like this
