Hi Bernt,
In order to use the HUD standalone created by Patrick Duffy, I am using this

sudo ArduCopter-quad -A udp: 192.168.1.241:14550  -C udp: 192.168.1.241:14551

How/where could I incorporate that into DroneStart.sh

Please clone UAVcast again or replace these files from github.

Ops.. It should only be one set of parameters. I just fixed the github master.
Just delete one of them..

When I run DroneStart.sh and then run ps ax, the 14550 port below is blank

Also,when I run DroneStart.sh, is there a way to see the gstreamer verbose output on the Pi side so that I can copy the full "caps =" string that I can then input on the GCS pc command line? Using This string works perfect when I input it into the HUD pipeline field. The video overlays into the standalone QT HUD window always

UPDATE 15.10.2016

Added systemctl for easy start / stop / autostart

Start
sudo systemctl start UAVcast

Stop
sudo systemctl stop UAVcast

Restart
sudo systemctl restart UAVcast

Start on boot 
sudo systemctl enable UAVcast

Not run on boot (for troubleshooting or other tasks)
sudo systemctl disable UAVcast

Systemctl will not output any verbose, it will assume everything is working properly.
You can start DroneStart.sh as before to get the verbose or check the UAVcast/log files

My ground station will be Tower running on an Android tablet which is connected to the internet via a 'hotspot' generated by my iphone. Can you see any problem with this? I wont need a dongle at this end to get UAVcast telemetry to my tablet right?
Will follow me mode work with this setup, following the tablets GPS?
I was thinking of using something like this http://www.camerasuite.org/ to send a UDP stream from my wifi action camera (clone) via Raspberry Pi 3 (with wifi) to Tower's FPV function. Can you see any problems with this and can it run alongside UAVcast on the Raspberry?

That will work just fine as long as you have port forwarded the correct ports on your iphone -> Tablet.
You wont need any cell dongle at the receiver end as long as your tablet is connected to internet.

You want to send telemetry via cell network and video by Wi-Fi, correct? Cant see any problems with that, as long as you are aware of the 2.4Ghz interference that may occur if you also have a standard 2.4Ghz Radio Receiver onboard.

Not quite. I was hoping I could use that program (which can run on Raspberry PI) to get video from my action cam to the on-board Raspberry PI (via Wi-Fi) then create a live stream (via 4G) that I can view on my Tablet.

I can just suck it and see, but good to know you're not far away (figuratively speaking).

That should work, but my concern is the latency. Im looking forward to see the some test results.

Hi Bernt,

I can run UAVcast and see data transmitting from my USB modem. I can also web browse from my Pi at that time.

But I am not connecting to my GCS which is on my home network. I can ping google.com from my Pi, but can't ping my GCS yet.My modem has a static IP.

I believe it is the port forwarding to get through my home router. Perhaps it won't forward traffic coming in from my 4g modem!

I am now able to reach my ground station, and MP is receiving telemetry from my Pi through the 4g Sprint network. Beautiful thing
