I have spent some time developing UAVcast to support Navio+ & Navio2
I think we have a working platform now, so feel free to give it a try.

Flash SD card with Emlid Raspberry image . Tested with Jessie version.

UAVcast now supports telemetry connected to GPIO TX / RX without the need for TTL adapter and you get 💯 % signal strength. 💛
I have moved away from ser2net, and have been tested another software which is a fork of mavproxy. (light version)

This new software will only use 3% CPU and it will also give us more flexibility such as UDP broadcast and the opportunity's to stream to multiple devices.

I have updated Git whit this latest version. Enjoy

Some feedback from my tests...
- Pi zero don't work with any Raspbian Image in any case
-Pi2 works fine with Emlid-Raspbian image only...
I have just a question:
I use a 4G stick HUAWEI e3372h Hilink which can work only in router mode...and give to the RPi an Ethernet connexion.(eth0 or eth1). can say me if Uavcast can work with? or If a special setting is required?

Just select Ethernet cable connected in Modem Connection and it should work just fine.

Montilien Pi zero don't work with any Raspbian Image in any case

Can you access the webinterface? what it the output of pm2 status

Montilien Pi2 works fine with Emlid-Raspbian image only

Did you test other images?
I just did a fresh install on PI3 whit RASPBIAN STRETCH LITE without problems.

Hello Bernt,

I just install a fresh image from emild and followed your instructions, successfully loaded into my pi through Web UI. After I config the parameters I start UAVcast from the Web UI however it does seems responding(keep loading) without any error message. I just running on my local network right now.

I found out I might need to do something with ''open port'' but I remember last time I have success with local connection (non Web UI) without doing setting in my router. would this be the problem.

Can you also check if you have folder within UAVcast named emlid. Example
UAVcast/emlid/navioor UAVcast/emlid/navio2

I currently doing a fresh install of Navio myself..

hmm,, i think you got a permission error.
Did you download the Binary in web setup? e.g arduplane?

Please try this:
chmod 777 -R /home/pi/UAVcast/

And then configure everything from web interface again.

It's working ! Ill now try config LTE (Dynss etc) btw would you reckon I could use my phone wifi hotspot as (dongle) because the SIM I use for my 4G dongle is out of credit. (laptop connected to home wifi and Pi connect to phone hotspot) Ill keep you update.

For your information.
I have installed web version two times now on RPI3 and two times on RPI2 including Navio+ & Navio2 version with exact instructions described Sinamics without any problems.

Notice!
When installing Navio image, remember to select your frame type Binary from the Flight Controller Menu
UAVcast will download each frame type if they not exsist. You will be promted before download starts.

UPDATE v0.3.5

I have ripped out all the old modem software (wvdial, UQMI) and replaced with Modem Manager and Network manager. This is a much more reliable platform for cell devices and it gives more verbal information upon connection and its much easier to troubleshoot if you should have any problems.

Another great feature with Network Manager is Autoconnect. 🙂 👍

I also added allot of new features to troubleshoot and get diagnostic information directly from the Web interface.

Do I follow the same step to update to latest version of UAVcast ?

Sinamics If anyone wants to try out my new UAVcast branch, then do these steps.

rm -rf UAVcast/ (if you have UAVcast already installed)
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install git -y
sudo git clone -b Web_UI https://github.com/UAVmatrix/UAVcast.git

cd UAVcast/install
sudo ./install.sh web (notice the web argument)

Yes, do the same steps to be sure you get everything.
However, in most cases a git pull from UAVcast directory will be sufficient to get the last changes, but that depends on which version you upgrading from.
